Seven years ago, Nashville Barrel Company made its first purchase: 14 single barrels of 8-year Indiana bourbon, each placed into a Kelvin cooperage barrel and set aside to become the foundation of what NBC would become. These are those barrels. When the last one is gone, this chapter is closed.

The Tasting Profile

All 14 barrels share the same distillate, cooperage, and age — with individual barrel variation adding nuance. The consistent profile: rich caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate, and toasted Kelvin oak on the nose. The 21% rye drives baking spice, cracked pepper, and dried fruit on the palate. The finish is long, warming, and distinctly Kelvin — smoky and slightly savory in a way that standard MGP releases don't deliver.
